Life: How to survive a break-up

The title of this blog makes it look so easy, and I really wish it was. That you could schedule it on your planning, like with some kind of DIY: this weekend I’d wish to try out the “how to make your own bedside table” and if I have some time left maybe the “how to survive a break-up”. This blogpost will be a very personal one, in which I tell you about my own experiences after my break-up. Don’t expect any ‘tips and tricks’ or anything like that on how to overcome a break-up, because you simply don’t. Not really. But more about that further on.

Life: Summer essentials

I never thought I would write this, but – even for me – it is too hot. We just managed to overcome last week’s heatwave and already another one is on its way. I personally love a nice warm summer, but since I am stuck in my non air-conditioned room writing my bachelor paper, it feels like my brain is slowly starting to melt. Time for a blogpost break if you ask me! I present you with some of my summer essentials which make the upcoming heatwave somewhat bearable:

Beauty: Review The Balm lippies

Maybe you already guessed it, but lip products are probably my number one purchased beauty product. I just like to switch it up some times and a new colour on your lips is so easy to add some spunk to your whole outfit! When I saw the ongoing sale on The Balm cosmetics products in the drugstore Di All about beauty, I just couldn’t resist to try out some lippies:

Outfit: Flowers all the way

Believe it or not, but it’s still hot in Belgium. This means I’ll keep the summer outfits coming your way! This time however, not with a focus on my accessories but on the scenery. I’ve been lucky to find this beautiful spot near my home, on a property owned by my grandmother. This year, they decided to spread around some wildflower seeds in the garden and take a look at the result:

Hotspot: Naais Time

Despite Genk being not that far from Sint-Truiden, where I live, I don’t really visit the city often. However, for this hotspot I love to make the extra mile! Naais Time is so much more than just a cute coffee spot in the city centre: it’s a place where you can live out your creative dreams. Let Fatima, the lovely owner of Naais Time, surprise you with a delicious drink or some fresh baked goods and you’ ll find it hard to drag yourself away from this cosy hotspot.

Life: Diego’s First adoption anniversary

PARTY TIMEEE! Today is Diego’s first adoption anniversary! I’m getting quite emotional writing about it and I can’t believe my baby has already been a year with us. Time sure flies when you are having fun! While I was thinking about writing this post, I realized that I never told you the whole adoption story in the first place. Let me take you one year back…

Life: Mother’s Day

Sunday the 13th of May is the most important day of the year –  the day we give our mothers that extra bit of consideration and love: Mother’s Day! They are always there for us, try to take our pain when we are hurting, were our number one fans from the moment we were born. This Sunday we therefor try to honour the amazing person from under who’s wings we grew up to be the person we are today. Although a present is not necessarily the best way to show our appreciation, it is always nice to surprise your mom with a gift. This can be something handmade (my personal all-time favourite), a little card and flowers or something else you know she will really like. In this post, I’ll sum up some presents which always score high for the last-minute deciders.
