Beauty: Review Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet

A weekend blogpost: not what you are used from me! But lately I’m having so much inspiration for new posts and I really felt like writing an extra review today. I have been trying out the ‘Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet’ in the colour 20 ‘poppy days’ for about two weeks now and let me tell you what I think:

First of all, the ‘Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet’ has a really nice formula. When you apply the liquid lipstick it feels very creamy and soft on the lips. After a few minutes, it has dried out completely matte without tugging on your lips or leaving a sticky feeling. I really like that is so lightweight, almost as if you are wearing nothing on your lips! From then on, you are good to go for the day. Only when eating a full meal, the colour starts to fade a little bit but as long as you are going for a snack or a light lunch you won’t need a touch-up.

The colour ‘poppy days’ was eventually not my first choice. Automatically my eyes seem to dwell on darker reds or more nude colours but I felt like testing out something new this time. Since it is summer and this year I am already slightly tanned, I thought I’d try a bright orange-red colour. The name is not chosen in vein: it feels like a field of poppies on your lips. Bonus: this makes your teeth look extra white! 😉

What do you think: Have you already tried a Bourjois product? What do you think about the colour? Let me know in the comments below!
