Fall is normally not my most-liked season. Most of the years, I guess I’m still mourning over the summer. In 2017 I made a promise to myself – a new year’s resolution if you want to call it that – to enjoy every season in its own way. The fact that Fall brings so many beautiful items with it – I’m not going to lie – also plays a big part in my Fall-enthousiasm this year. Out of all that goodness, I chose some products I thought everybody should know about:
Since beauty takes up a large part of my best-liked items this season, let me start off with something to set the sphere – quite literally. Like you all know from my previous blogpost about Yankee Candle, I’ve quite recently fallen in love with their scented candles. Let me introduce you to two of my newbies in my collection: Magic Cookie Bar and Merry Berry Linzer, both part of the cookie swap collection. Light them and let they do their magic: a house that smells just like you have been baking all day without actually having to do it! Although you won’t have the actual cookies to stuff yourself with, this is a lot better for your figure if you ask me.
Next up is one of thé finds of the season, although that’s it has been available for some time now. Behold the magnificence of the Morphe 25B palette. These colours are perfect for fall, and complement everybody’s skintone! If you don’t particularly like orange shades, you have both brown and the purple shades to finish your autumnal look. This however, counts as definitely a staple item all year round for me! The pigmentation of the palette is one of the best I’ve encountered until now, and this for a reasonable price!
The third item in my list is the hyped colour sensational lipstick from the L’Oréal X Balmain colaboration and let me tell you: totally worth it! I’ve kept it quite safe with the dark red colour “Domination” which practically can be used as a day-to- day lipstick. The colour is a gorgeous deep red, which reminds me of the roaring ’20. It’s a matte shade and the pigmentation is again wonderful. One layer is definitely enough to come through the day. The luxurious packaging is a lovely extra on this new all-time favourite red.
Also a great discovery on the lip department are these mini’s by Colourpop. I spotted them on the Revolve site and with my latest order, I threw them in basket. Let my tell you what a great surprise it was when I first tried them out! The colours vary from nude to a heavy pink and are all very lovely. The liquid lipsticks dry up matte very quickly! No need to go over your lips with more than one layer: the first one stays on perfectly all day, even after eating or drinking.
Lately, I’ve been taking more care of my skin and this definitely includes a weekly mask. I’ve recently been trying out these aluminizing charcoal peel off masks by Masque Bar, which are available at Di. Tip: Leave them on a little bit longer than said on the packaging, because this mask dries very slowly!
Last but not least, I’ve been in love with this gorgeous make up bag from Hema to put away all of my new beauty favourites. I just love the deep colour of petrol blue and the velvet!
What do you think, are there any products which are on your list as well? Are there any that you’d like to try out now? You always can ask me more questions below! Love, Sofie
